  • Curl-leaf Mountain Mahogany (Cercocarpus ledifolius) growing at edge of Big Indian Gorge. The curl-leaf Mountain Mahogany is a hardy shrub/tree of the family Rosaceae, which can obtain heights up to 30 meters. native to dry mountainous regions of the Western United States. It has the distinction of being one of the oldest known flowering trees with some dated in excess of 1,350 years.
